Monch Yuson
AI Consulting & Agentic Coding
Husband and father first. Systems thinker by habit, web builder since 2011. These days Claude Code, Codex and ZCode write most of my code, OpenClaw runs the automations, and the local models live on the Mac Mini. The goal is simple: automate the daily work and the life admin so people get time back for what they actually want, and for family.

Experience

AI & Agentic Engineering Consultant
Sydney, NSW · Registered business · consulting & building
This is just how I work now: Claude Code scaffolds the project and writes most of the code while I review and steer, Codex and ZCode take the jobs they're better suited for, OpenClaw on the Unraid box handles scheduling and research through Telegram, and the quick questions go to whichever local model is closest. Honestly, most of the craft now is orchestration: knowing which agent to hand each job to. The big one so far is this site: a ten-year-old WordPress blog moved to Astro on a single Cloudflare Worker, with the old posts and photos dug back out of the Wayback Machine by scripts I wrote for the job.
Self-hosted homelab
Builder & Operator
Sydney, NSW · Unraid · Docker · backups
The Unraid homelab is the other half of the setup: an 8-bay Jonsbo N3 (i5-12500) with a small city of Docker containers (OpenClaw, Pi-hole, the usual suspects) and Duplicacy shipping backups off to Backblaze. The Mac Mini does the local model work so the quick stuff never has to leave the house.
Independent freelance practice
Freelance Web Designer & Developer
Online · Websites · online media presence
Since 2011 I've made websites for clients and looked after their online presence: design, build, hosting, the lot. It's never stopped, even while everything else around it changed.
Selected Work
monch.ee: journal & CV platform
Astro · Cloudflare Workers · D1 · R2 · EmDash CMSThe site you're on: a ten-year-old WordPress blog (38 posts) moved to Astro on one Cloudflare Worker. The old posts and photos got pulled back out of the Wayback Machine by scripts that wait politely between requests so the archive doesn't rate-limit me.
OpenClaw: personal AI assistant platform
OpenClaw · Unraid · TelegramMy own assistant, self-hosted, wired into Telegram. It briefs me in the morning, handles the schedule, searches the web and controls devices. It's an agent that can actually do things on my behalf instead of just suggesting them.
Local models on the Mac Mini
Mac Mini · local inferenceSmall models for quick questions and code completion, bigger ones when something needs proper thinking. It's fast and private, and it doesn't depend on anyone's API being up.
Homelab & self-hosted services
Unraid · Docker · Pi-hole · Duplicacy8 bays of Unraid and whatever services make sense this month: Pi-hole blocking ads for the whole network, Duplicacy sending backups to Backblaze, and room to tinker.
